Round 3 (rescheduled from June) of the Appalachian Championship Enduro Series will take place in Chandlersville, OH, on Sunday, Aug. 27. The restart-format race is hosted by Ohio Woods Riders.
The club reports that there will be lots of great trail to ride.
“The weather is going to be great, and the trail conditions perfect!” said Kory Young, ACES and OWR president. “There will be a 2-mile woods and grass ‘warm up’ section, then a 7-mile test followed by a 4.5-mile test. There will then be a 7.5-mile test, 2.2 woods transfer and another 1.5 woods transfer. It will then be a 5-mile test, 7 mile test, 11.5 test and 3.5 mile woods transfer. There will be some backroads between the woods sections.”
Sign up will be available Saturday from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday morning from 7-9:30 a.m.
For competitors choosing to camp, there is space available at the race location. It is all primitive camping (no water/electric).
Saturday’s Grassy Family Enduro has a 2-mile grass track and 7-mile woods loops. The total course length is 23 miles.
