The following rows will be reserved for AA riders this year:
21A Broc Hepler
22A Zach Klamfoth
23A Robbie Jenks
24A Billy Weaver
25A Brett Zofchak
Other pros that want to race AA will have to notify the appropriate club by the Wednesday prior to the event for a reserved row (26, 27, 28, 29, etc.) We had too many pro riders reserve rows for the entire season last year that ended up racing only a few events. It was holding up spots that could have been utilized by others.
From the rules page:
Row Assignments
Except for the assigned AA rows, all rider numbers will be drawn. Riders wishing to ride together – one rider will draw for all riders. If row is not empty, the closest empty row will be assigned. The AA riders must notify the club hosting the race no later than Wednesday night before the event, if they will require additional numbers on their row, and identify the riders that are riding with them. Without notification, only the AA rider’s number (not the row) will be reserved, and may be released if not claimed by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event. For events with pre-entry, the following MUST occur, NO LATER THAN the Wednesday before the event:.
Riders that want to ride on AA row with said rider MUST pre-enter the event and signify to us that they are riding with that particular rider. The AA rider should notify us, identifying their row mates by name and AMA #. If the AA rider does not pre-enter, only their number (not the row) will be held until 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event. After 8:00 a.m., it may become available in the draw. If AA rider doesn’t ride, the other rider’s will be treated as any other pre-entry.
Sportsman riders will be mixed in with other rows. (Take them under your wing and teach them the ropes.)
