Organizers of the Appalachian Championship Enduro Series are saddened to report the passing of Steve Vollmar of West Unity, Ohio. Vollmar was an ACES competitor, member of a long-time enduro family, husband and father.
Vollmar passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10. He was 48.
Vollmar family members have been involved in the enduro scene for four generations, and were active in Enduro Riders Association at one time. Steve raced enduros and been involved in Ohio enduros since he was old enough to ride. He was ACES 40+A class champion in 2016 and an AMA District 14 AA rider. He also competed in the AMA National Enduro Championship Series.

Funeral: Saturday, Nov 16 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church: 610 South Portland Street, Bryan, OH 43506. Burial will be at Shiffler Cemetery just North of Bryan on Rt 127.
An enduro bike procession will meet Saturday, Nov. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Walmart (1215 S Main St., Bryan, OH 43506) and ride to the church to stage. We’ll ride from the church to the cemetery in a unified show of respect for Steve and the Vollmar Family.
